The Lions confirmed the transfer with an official statement released on the Public Disclosure Forum.

The statement read: “An agreement has been reached with Sport Lisboa E Benfica-Futebol SAD regarding the transfer of our professional football player Muhammed Kerem Aktürkoğlu.

“According to the agreement, Sport Lisboa E Benfica-Futebol SAD will pay a net transfer fee of 12,000,000 euros to our company.

“In addition, in the event of the transfer of the football player to another club in the future; Sport Lisboa E Benfica-Futebol SAD will pay 10% of the profit of the transfer fee to our club as a share from the next sale.

“It is respectfully announced to the public.”

Akturkoglu will be replaced with Napoli striker Victor Osimhen who arrived in Istanbul last night to complete his loan move.

Akturkoglu, a Turkish national team member, has been granted permission to travel to Portugal to finalize the transfer deal. The 25-year-old winger has been a vital part of Galatasaray’s success, contributing significantly with goals and assists.

The transfer fee for Akturkoglu is €12 million, with Benfica agreeing to pay an additional 10% of any future transfer profits to Galatasaray.

While Akturkoglu’s departure is a loss for Galatasaray, the potential signing of Osimhen could offset the impact. The Nigerian striker is a highly sought-after player and could make a significant contribution to the Turkish club’s success.
