The Turkish A National Football Team’s squad for its preparatory matches against the USA and Mexico in the United States has undergone a significant change, with Uğurcan Çakır, Hakan Çalhanoğlu, and Mustafa Hekimoğlu all withdrawn due to injuries.

This evening, the revised squad will depart for Boston.

The technical committee of the A National Team, after reviewing the examination results of Hakan Çalhanoğlu, confirmed that the midfielder, who sustained an injury during the recent UEFA Champions League final between Paris Saint-Germain and Inter Milan, would not fully recover in time for the upcoming special matches.

Consequently, he has been removed from the provisional squad.

Similarly, following examinations by the A National Team’s health committee during the training camp, it was determined that Uğurcan Çakır and Mustafa Hekimoğlu would also not fully recover from their respective injuries during the period of these friendly fixtures.

As a result, both national team players have been withdrawn from the squad.

In response to these withdrawals, Galatasaray’s Ahmed Kutucu has been called up and will join the team traveling to the USA.

The changes highlight the challenges national teams face in managing player fitness, especially after demanding club seasons. These matches against the USA and Mexico are crucial warm-ups ahead of the upcoming World Cup Qualifiers.
