Klopp Drops £10m-Rated Ace From Squad Ahead Of France Trip Amid Reports That He Is Nearing A Move To Super Lig Giants

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has dropped Simon Mignolet from the squad ahead of the France tour amid reports that the keeper is nearing a move to Besiktas.

The Belgium international is expected to leave the Reds after falling down the pecking order behind Alisson Becker and Loris Karius.

Becker and Karius will make the trip as will young stoppers Kamil Grabara and Caoimhin Kelleher.

Turkish sports newspaper Fotomac reported today that Besiktas have reached an agreement with Liverpool to loan goalkeeper Mignolet next season with a buyout clause option.

Per the source, the 30-year-old is on the verge of completing a move to the Super Lig based outfit over the next few days.

The Premier League giants had hoped to sell the Belgium stopper for £10m [Goal] but the Black Eagles are only interested in a loan move.

Besiktas had been linked with a permanent move initially but as Turkish-Football reported on July 25, the asking price is out of the club’s buy range and they are keen on a loan move instead.

The Reds will not play a match in France, but will travel to Dublin on Saturday where they will face Napoli.
