Liverpool star Emre Can will miss his fourth successive game in all competitions due to a back injury.
Reds boss Jurgen Klopp hinted before the game that Can was a doubt but clung onto the hope he would be available.
The midfielder of Turkish origin had to be taken off during the 5-0 win over Watford with a back problem, missed the Germany national team games against Spain and Brazil and the Crystal Palace game on the weekend.

“Emre will at least be very, very close for tomorrow,” Klopp told reporters ahead of the game.
“He has a session today with the rehab coach and we will see but it does not look too good.”
Captain Jordan Henderson will fill in for the injured Emre Can and will start alongside James Milner. Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain is likely to provide bursting from central areas in what will be an all English midfield for the Reds.
Can’s injury has kept him out of the team longer than expected but he is expected to return in time for return-leg against City.
The 24-year-old has scored a career-high six-goals in a single season this campaign despite having just a few months remaining on his contract.
