La Liga giants enter race for €38m Chelsea target Hakan Calhanoglu
La Liga giants Atletico Madrid have stepped into the race to sign Hakan Calhanoglu.
According to the Turkish outlet A Spor, Atleti are keen to add the Bayer Leverkusen man to their squad.
The report goes onto state that Atletico Madrid are readying a €20 million bid for the Turkey international midfielder.
Meanwhile, the Turkish outlet Ajanspor has recently reported that Chelsea are prepared to offer €38 million for Calhanoglu. The bid would activate the release clause in the Turkey international’s contract.
The Bayer Leverkusen midfielder is in high demand despite not playing for his club since January.

Calhanoglu has been suspended for the remainder of the season due to a contract dispute with Trabzonspor.
The 23-year-old was in good form prior to his suspension from FIFA. Calhanoglu racked up seven goals and seven assists in 22 appearances for Bayer in all competitions.
