Lazio join Tottenham in race to sign £30m Kosovo international

Lazio have become the latest side to express an interest in Fenerbahce’s in-form striker Vedat Muriqi.

The Kosovo international has impressed watching scouts this season after netting 12 goals in 20 appears in the Turkish Super Lig.

Tottenham were closely linked with a move for Muriqi over the January transfer window.

Meanwhile, Turkish-Football recently revealed that Tottenham, Aston Villa and Leicester City sent scouts to watched Muriqi earlier this month.

However, Tottenham are likely to face competition from Lazio for Muriqi’s signature, according to a report from the Italian outlet Calciomercato.

Per the source, both Lazio and Fiorentina been following the striker for a number of months.

Muriqi joined Fenerbahce for just £3.15 million from Rizespor last summer. Calciomercato goes onto state that the Istanbul Giants have set a £30 million price tag on the Kosovo international.

The 25-year-old is expected to start when Fenerbahce take on Ankaragucu in the Turkish Super Lig on Saturday evening.
