‘Lazio have been sniffing around’ – 18-goal Man City starlet targeted by Italian giants

Lazio were linked with a move for Manchester City starlet Enes Unal in the Italian press last week.

The Sun went ahead and revealed further details of the Italian giants interest in the 19-year-old striker.

Per the source, Lazio are keen on Unal and set to enter talks over the next few weeks.

City meanwhile are reported to be in no hurry to make a decision over his future and Pep Guardiola is expected to take him on the summer tour of the United States first before making his mind up.

The Sun quote an Etihad source as saying: “He’s scoring every week in Holland. Lazio have sent scouts to watch him and talks are set to begin over the coming weeks.

“City are in no rush to decide where he is going.

“Pep is willing to take him on the summer tour of the United States before making his mind up.”

Unal has been in great form for on-loan side FC Twente this season.

The rising star has 18 goals and four assists in all competitions for the Dutch side.

The 19-year-old is the highest scoring Turkish international in the history of the Eredivisie with 17 league goals.

Unal does not have a work-permit and would not be able to play for his parent club next season unless the Home Office grant him an exemption on the basis of being a special talent who could contribute to English football.
