Le Havre Sign Umut Meras From Bursaspor On A Four-Year Deal

Le Havre have completed the transfer of Bursaspor right-back Umut Meras on a four-year deal according to beIN Sports Turkey.

Per the source, the Ligue 1 outfit will pay Bursaspor €2m for the transfer.

Meras will join fellow Turkey players Yusuf Yazici and Mehmet Zeki Celik in France.

Yazici moved from Trabzonspor to Lille this summer joining Celik who completed his transfer the previous summer.

Meras was involved in controversy after bidding farewell to Bursaspor fans last week after agreeing a deal in principle with Besiktas.

The transfer did not end up going through but Meras had already told Bursaspor supporters that he will be leaving.

The 23-year-old was one of the standout performers in an otherwise disappointing Bursaspor side who were relegated from the Super Lig.

Meras ended up scoring two goals in 27 appearances last term.

He was signed by Bursaspor from TFF 1. Lig side Boluspor last summer.

The left-back managed to get himself called up to the Turkey national side where he made his debut on 30 May in the 2-1 win over Greece.
