Lecce Set To Sign Bursaspor Defender Ertugrul Ersoy For €1.4m On A Four-Year Deal

Lecce have completed the signing of Ertugrul Ersoy on a four-year deal according to beIN Sport Turkey.

Per the source, the Serie A side will pay a €1.4m fee for the Bursaspor defender.

Ersoy will earn €600,000 for his first-season, €700,000 over the second season, €800,000 for his third season and €900,000 in his final season as the club.

Lecce have however, yet to confirm whether a deal has been struck.

The 22-year-old played as captain for Bursaspor last season making 30 appearances for the Green Crocodiles but he was unable to prevent the Green Crocodiles from being relegated.

Ersoy has become the latest Turkish player to move to top five leagues – Premier League, Serie A, Ligue 1, Bundesliga and La Liga.

The powerful defender joins Merih Demiral, Cengiz Under and Hakan Calhanoglu as the fourth Turkish international in the Serie A.

Lecce were promoted to the Italian top-tier after finishing the 2018-19 campaign as runners-up.

The Italian side have also been closely linked with fellow Turkey international striker Burak Yilmaz.
