Galatasaray want Denayer on a temporary move in what would be his third loan stint at the club.

Denayer reportedly wants to return to the Super Lig champions and City are prepared to let him leave if they do not receive an offer for a permanent move until the end of the transfer window.

Galatasaray are prepared to wait until August 31 – transfer deadline – to complete the move as he will not need time to settle in.

The Istanbul giants are not prepared to make a permanent offer for Denayer due to pressure from Financial Fair Play to curb spending.

The Lions kick started their defence of the title with a 3-1 away win over Ankaragucu on Friday.
