Leeds United fall behind in transfer race as club table bid for 11-goal prolific striker

Galatasaray have surged ahead in the race to sign Kasimpasa forward Mbaye Diagne according to the latest reports from Turkey.

Leeds United were closely linked with a move for the prolific striker over the summer and have continued to monitor the 27-year-old.

According to the daily Turkish sports paper Fanatik, Galatasaray have tabled a £4 million bid for Diagne. However, Kasimpasa have set a £9 million valuation on their star striker.

With Diagne’s recent form, his valuation may even increase by the time the January transfer window comes around.

The Senegal international has scored 11 goals and provided two assists in ten Turkish Super Lig appearances this season. The star striker has been averaging a goal every 82 minutes this season.

Leeds United have been performing week in the Championship this season and sit in second place with 27 points after 15 games.
