Leicester City accept offer from Turkish giants for £29m star – personal terms yet to be agreed

Fenerbahce are confident about their chances of signing Islam Slimani from Leicester City this summer according to the latest reports from Turkey.

The Yellow Canaries currently only have one senior out-and-out striker in their squad following the departures of Vincent Janssen and Fernandao.

Fenerbahce will be also be competing in Europe this season and are keen to bolster their attacking options,

According to the Turkish outlet Takvim, Fenerbahce are keen on signing Leicester City’s Slimani.

Per the source, Leicester City have accepted Fenerbahce’s loan offer for the Algeria international.

However, the Istanbul giants are yet to agree personal terms with Slimani.

Takvim go onto state that Fenerbahce director of football Damien Comolli is having trouble negotiating with Slimani’s agent.

Slimani joined Leicester City for a club record £29 million back in 2016. The 30-year-old managed to score just one goal in 16 Premier League appearances for the Foxes last season.

Leicester City take on Manchester United in their opening game of the Premier League season on August 10.
