Leicester City loanee Islam Slimani got his Fenerbahce career off to a poor start after a shock away defeat against newly promoted side Malatayspor.
Fenerbahce ended up losing the clash 1-0 away from home at the Yeni Malatya Stadium.
Slimani started upfront but was clearly lacking match fitness and sharpness.
The 30-year-old got into a few dangerous positions but failed to convert, missing a few chances you would have expected him to put away like this one.

Slimani did end up creating three-goal scoring chances and taking four shots – just one on target – as Fenerbahce piled on the pressure towards the end of the game to avoid a humiliating loss.
The Leicester man is expected to be first-choice striker for Fenerbahce this season.
