Leicester City news: Response issued regarding £16m transfer report
Leicester City striker Musa Ahmed has been closely linked with a move to Trabzonspor.
Turkish sports newspaper Fotomac claimed that Ogneyi ‘Eddy’ Onazi has urged Musa into joining him at the Turkish league giants.
Per the source, Trabzonspor are keen on an end of season loan move for the Nigerian international.
Ahmed has not received an official approach from Trabzonspor according to source close to the player as reported by AllNigeriaSoccer.
”As far as we are aware, it is not true Trabzonspor have approached Musa or his representative,” the unnamed source was quoted as saying.
Musa has struggled for playing time this season and was left out of the squad ahead of the Champions League clash against Atletico Madrid.
The powerful striker joined the reigning Premier League champions for a club record £16 million fee (BBC) from CSKA Moscow last summer.
Musa has failed to live up to expectations in his debut season having netted just four times in 31 games for the Foxes.
The 24-year-old has played just 43 mins in his last seven Premier League games.
The Nigerian forward has made just one start in 2017.
