Leicester City have joined Everton in the race for Besiktas defender Domagoj Vida according to reports in Turkey.
The Foxes have made a €12m bid for the Croatia international according to Turkish sports newspaper Fanatik.
Per the source, the Leicester are keen on securing a deal early before Vida’s price rises even further.
The defender has been in great form for the Croatia national side, playing an important role in keeping clean sheets in the 2-0 win over Nigeria and 3-0 victory over Argentina.
Vida made three important clearances and won five duals, putting on a stellar dispaly against the likes of Messi, Aguero and Higuain.
The Toffees were the first side to express an interest in signing Vida this summer, as reported by Turkish-Football.
West Ham and Fulham have also been keeping tabs on the 29-year-old.
Besiktas signed Vida on a free transfer from Dynamo Kiev in January and he does have another four-years remaining on his contract.
The Black Eagles would however, be keen on selling him for a profit but only after the World Cup is over.
The Istanbul based outfit expect his valuation to increase further by the end of the tournament.
Vida scored one goal in 13 Turkish Super Lig appearances for Besiktas last season.
