Former Liverpool and England midfielder Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain is reportedly keen on a return to England, according to The Sun.

The 31-year-old has endured a frustrating season at Besiktas, struggling for playing time and making only six appearances with one goal.

While Besiktas manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer recently gave him a start, Oxlade-Chamberlain is reportedly attracted to the idea of returning to the Premier League.

Leicester City and Wolves are both monitoring his availability ahead of the transfer window closing next Monday.

Both clubs believe his versatility and Premier League experience could be valuable in their respective relegation battles.

Championship side Leeds United are also believed to be interested in Oxlade-Chamberlain as they aim for promotion back to the Premier League.

Besiktas are likely to allow the 35-cap international to leave on loan with a view to a permanent transfer if the loan proves successful.

Sheffield United, who were linked with Oxlade-Chamberlain last summer, are reportedly considering reigniting their interest.

A move to Sheffield United would see him reunite with former Liverpool teammate Rhian Brewster.

Oxlade-Chamberlain’s desire to return to England is likely influenced by personal reasons.

His fiancee, Perrie Edwards, has previously spoken about the difficulties of their long-distance relationship due to his move to Turkey.

Oxlade-Chamberlain enjoyed a successful six-year spell at Liverpool, winning five trophies, including the Premier League and Champions League. He joined Besiktas in August 2023 after his release from Anfield.
