Les Ferdinand expects Man United to reach final but believes former team will lift Europa League trophy
Les Ferdinand has revealed that he expects Manchester United to reach the Europa League final.
Ferdinand believes United will make it to the final stage of the competition but he does not think they will win it.
Instead the former England international striker is tipping Besiktas to lift the title.
“I expect Manchester United to make the final but I think Besiktas will win it,” Ferdinand was quoted as saying by Haberturk.

Ferdinand stated that if Besiktas get past Lyon he does not see anything stopping their march to the trophy.
“If Besiktas beat Lyon I think they will go all the way, nobody in Turkey is a match for them and a final is always 50 – 50 but if they face United in the final they will win it,” he added.
Ferdinand did of course used to play for Besktas, enjoying a successful loan spell at the Istanbul giants during his time at QPR.
The now retired striker became a fan favourite and is respected by Besiktas supporters to this day.
The 50-year-old is regularly invited to Besiktas events and conferences where he remains a popular figure.
Besiktas have a decent record against Premier League opposition in Europe and beat Liverpool as well as Tottenham in the 2014 Europa League.
The Black Eagles will take on Lyon in the quarter-finals while the bookmakers favourites to win the competition United face Anderlecht.
