Liverpool ace offered to Turkish league champions, Reds green light £12m winger exit

Liverpool winger Lazar Markovic has been offered out to Besiktas according to reports in Turkey.

CNN Turkey claim that Markovic’s representatives have been looking for a new club.

Per the source, Markovic has been offered to the Turkish league champions on a loan move.

Liverpool are reported to have given their blessing for the move to go ahead.

The ball is currently in Besiktas’ court. The Serbian international’s representatives are happy to go ahead with the temporary transfer.

The Black Eagles are in the market for a winger following injury to Gokhan Tore.

The report also claims that Besiktas have their eye on Trabzonspor winger Yusuf Erdogan and Sunderland’s Jeremain Lens.

The Istanbul giants have prioritised signing a new winger as they currently lack depth out wide and upfront.

Markovic is no stranger to the Turkish Super Lig. The 23-year-old spent a season on loan at Fenerbahce but had his league campaign disrupted by injuries.

The winger has struggled for form over the past few seasons and spent last term out on loan at Hull City scoring two goals in 12 Premier League appearances.
