Liverpool Ace Snubs Cardiff City Move But Still Tipped For Anfield Exit, Super Lig Giants Put On Alert Following Latest Development

Liverpool midfielder Marko Grujic has snubbed a move to Cardiff City according to the BBC.

The latest development has put Galatasaray on alert as the Super Lig outfit continue efforts to sign a new central midfielder.

The Bluebirds had been closely linked with Grujic who was expected to return on loan this summer.

Cardiff City manager Neil Warnock said he has had ‘knock-back after knock-back’ this summer.

“We’ve had knock-back after knock-back at the moment and if it’s not possible we’ll go with what we’ve got,” he said.

Grujic has made 14 appearances for Liverpool since joining from Red Star Belgrade for £5.1million in January 2016 and is unlikely to be part of Jurgen Klopp’s plans next season.

Turkish-Football reported that Galatasaray were considering launching a loan bid for the midfielder back on 26 July.

The Lions were offered Grujic last month via his representatives after being informed he would be open to a temporary move to Turkey.

Galatasaray would be prepared to offer first-team and Champions League football.

The Super Lig outfit have made signing a central midfielder a priority.

The Istanbul giants have until the end of the month to complete a move for Grujic as the transfer window runs until the end of the month at the end of the week.

Galatasaray lost the Turkish Super Cup final on Sunday against Akhisar on penalties.

The Lions kick off their Super Lig campaign on Friday against Ankaragucu.
