Liverpool Are Keeping Close Tabs On Turkey International Star Dorukhan Tokoz

Liverpool have been keeping close tabs on Besiktas midfielder Dorukhan Tokoz according to TRT Spor reporter Serkan Akkoyun.

The Avrupa Studyosu program presenter revealed live on air that the Reds have been scouting Tokoz.

Liverpool have informed Besiktas they are interested in Tokoz after being recommended by the scouting team.

Tokoz had most of his games over the second half of the season for both club and country scouted by the Champions League title holders.

Besiktas signed the 23-year-old for just €150,000 last summer but he went onto become one of the transfers of the season.

The midfielder exceeded expectations and cemented his position as a first-team star over the second half of the season.

Tokoz scored three goals and provided three assists in 20 league games.

The former Eskisehirspor man also became a regular call-up to the Turkish national team side.

The defensive midfielder started the last three international games for Turkey starring in the 2-0 victory over France providing an assist against the world champions.

Tokoz now has five international caps scoring one goal and providing one assist.
