Liverpool take on Arsenal at Anfield hoping to turn around a poor start to the season.
Emre Can will start on the bench for the fifth Premier League game in a row.
Can did not receive any playing time against Manchester United, Sunderland Stoke City and Leicester City.
Arsenal are still without Mesut Özil who is still recovering from a knee injury.
The 26-year-old playmaker is expected to return in January.
The Reds are currently in 11th place on 21 points while Arsenal are 7th on 26 points.
