Liverpool beat Arsenal 3-1 at Anfield to leapfrog the Gunners and move into the top three in the Premier League table.
Germany international of Turkish origin Emre Can started for Liverpool, filling in for the injured Jordan Henderson.

After coming under fire from sections of the media and fans for a dip in form Can put on an impressive display for the second week running.
There was however, one controversial incident which sparked a social media storm with Arsenal and Liverpool fans.
Can crashed into Granit Xhaka but the Switzerland international ended up getting booked. Had the referee decided to penalise the Liverpool midfielder he would have been sent off for a second yellow card offence.
This was the incident, we will let you decide if it warranted a second yellow or not.

Arsenal fans were not at all pleased that Can escaped a second yellow card and to rub further salt in the wounds it was Granit Xhaka who ended up getting booked.
