Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp Gives Major Injury Update Ahead Of Real Madrid Champions League Final Clash

Liverpool take on Real Madrid in the Champions League final in Kiev, Ukraine at the end of the month.

Reds boss Jurgen Klopp delivered a major injury update regarding two star players before the training camp in Marbella.

There was a surprise inclusion in the squad as Emre Can traveled to Spain with the team.

The midfielder of Turkish origin has not featured for the Reds since coming off injured in the 5-0 victory over Watford before the international break.

James Milner also traveled to Marbella and will return to training.

Klopp stated that he is less certain whether Can will be back in time for the final.

Klopp told Liverpoolfc.com: “James is in the group and will be back in training later – I think on Saturday or so we will see, or maybe Friday.

“Emre is here, that’s good – having him in the group is always good, a fantastic boy. We will see what we can do with him, there’s still a little bit of work to do, but good to have him here.”

Can will be a free agent soon after the final unless he signs a contract extension.

The 24-year-old has been closely linked with a move to Juventus but has yet to confirm where he will be playing beyond the end of the season.
