Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp is plotting a move for Fenerbahce midfielder Ozan Tufan according to Talksport.
The report claims that the the Reds could face competition from Everton and Manchester United.
Fenerbahce value their 21-year-old midfielder as being worth £20 million and he does have another four-years remanning on his contract.
The box-to-box midfielder was one of Turkey’s stand out performers in what was otherwise a disappointing Euro 2016 campaign.
Tufan was statistically one of the best players for Turkey according to Opta stats.
The young midfielder put on his best performance in the 2-0 win over the Czech Republic and was temporarily the youngest player to have scored at the European Championships until Portugal’s 18-year-old Renato Sanches found the back of the net.
Tufan’s club manager boss Vitor Pereira described Tufan’s display over Euro 2016 as being reminiscent of a young Yaya Toure. Now that is a pretty bold claim to make but there is no denying the powerful midfielder has a bright future ahead of him.
“He still has a lot to learn and that is my job but the world will soon have a central midfielder on the level of Yaya Toure on their hands,” he said speaking on Sport Tv.
