Liverpool beat Huddersfield 3-0 on the road yesterday in the Premier League to snap a four-game losing streak.
Emre Can was named BT Sport man of the match for his display for the Reds.
The midfielder of Turkish origin was involved in two goals, scoring and winning a penalty but could have also provided a few assists had the chances he created not been squandered.
Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp was asked about Can’s future after the game.
The 24-year-old has started the Reds last seven Premier League games but will be a free agent at the end of the season unless he signs a contract extension.
Klopp revealed that he is happy with Can’s output and that accepted that there is a possibility the midfielder will leave.
The German manager did however, underline that it is not certain that Can will leave and that he could still end up staying.
“As long as people behave like Emre (Can) now – behaves and delivers – then everything is fine and normal in life,” Klopp said.
“I said it a few times, sometimes you want to sell a player, sometimes you want to keep a player and that’s how it is. We can always make a big story in the world about it.
“If we have to do it then we shake hands and say goodbye. And if he stays we don’t shake hands but say hello again. We will see.”

Can has of course been closely linked with a move to Juventus with the Italian giants making no secret of their interest.
Juve chief Giuseppe Moratta told RMC Sport: “We are in optimum position to achieve all the objectives we have set out.
“Talks are well underway with Emre Can, but the negotiations are not at all concluded.”
What is certain is that Can will not be leaving in January, beyond that is anyone’s guess right now.
Can has been in impressive form on the field, scoring five goals and providing three assists in all competitions.
