Fenerbahce have rekindled interest in Liverpool coach Zeljko Buvac according to reports in Turkey.

The Aksam newspaper claim that Philip Cocu will not be appointed manager after PSV managed to convince him to stay at the club.

Per the source, Cocu will continue as PSV manager.

The Yellow Canaries are reported to be close to agreeing a deal with Buvac.

There are contrasting reports regarding the availability of the Serbian coach.

Aksam claim Buvac is currently a free agent but there are contrasting reports that the coach is still contracted to the Reds.

Buvac is known as Jurgen Klopp’s ‘right hand man’ according to the official Bundesliga website.

The coach had been by the side of Klopp from Mainz, through to Borussia Dortmund and Liverpool.

Liverpool are hopeful that Buvac will return to the side of Klopp according to journalist David Maddock.

The Bosnian coach, who was assistant manager to the Reds boss took a leave of absence ahead of the Reds 1-0 defeat to Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.

Fenerbahce are currently without a manager after parting ways with Aykut Kocaman who guided them to a runners-up spot this season.
