Liverpool Have Confirmed The Departure Of Star Goalkeeper Loris Karius

Liverpool have confirmed the departure of their star goalkeeper Loris Karius.

The Germany U21 international has joined Besiktas on a two-year loan deal. Turkish-Football recently reported that Karius would join the Black Eagles on a two-year loan deal for £2.5 million.

The price will rise to £9.5m if the German keeper plays more than 50% of games during the loan period.

Liverpool took to social media to confirm the loan deal. The Reds shared a photo of Karius and included the following caption, “Everybody at Liverpool wishes Loris Karius the best of luck during his loan spell.

Karius made a total of 33 appearances for Liverpool last season but lost his place in Klopp’s starting eleven following the signing of Alisson Becker from AS Roma.

Besiktas have been on the hunt for a new goalkeeper after they offloaded their former No.1 keeper Fabri to Fulham earlier this month.

Liverpool registered a 1-0 win over Brighton today and take on Leicester City next weekend.
