Liverpool are reportedly in talks with Real Madrid regarding a potential transfer for young attacker Arda Guler according to the print edition of Marca.
The 19-year-old impressed at the end of last season for Real Madrid, scoring 5 goals in La Liga appearances. He further solidified his talent with a stunning long-range goal for Turkey at Euro 2024.

Guler’s ability to play across the attacking front, including on the right wing (potentially a long-term successor to Mo Salah), makes him an attractive target for new manager Arne Slot.
Despite Liverpool’s interest, there are hurdles to overcome. Real Madrid are hesitant to let go of the young player, especially with his long contract. Additionally, the arrival of Kylian Mbappe at the Bernabeu could limit Guler’s playing time.
The Reds will have another chance to assess Guler in Turkey’s final Euro 2024 group game.
Guler was dropped in the 3-0 defeat against Portugal on Group F match day 2 but manager Vincenzo Montella came under criticism for his decision.
Guler was the man of the match in the 3-1 win over Georgia on match day one scoring one of the goals of the tournament so far.
The 19-year-old is expected to start tonight in the final group game against Czech Republic.
The Turkish national team will guarantee passage to the next round with just a point in their final game and could even qualify with a defat.
While Guler needs to maintain his form, his recent performances showcase the makings of a special player. Liverpool’s pursuit of him could be a gamble worth taking.
