Liverpool face challenge to keep hold of star midfielder as Real Madrid join the race
Liverpool star midfielder Emre Can has attracted the attention of Europe’s Elite following an impressive run of form.
The 23-year-old could leave the Reds for free next summer unless a new deal is agreed. Can has entered the final six-months of his contract and will be able to hold talks with European clubs from January 1 onwards.
According to Italian outlet Corriere dello Sport, La Liga giants Real Madrid are the latest side to join the race to sign the Germany international in January.
Per the source, Liverpool will only consider a bid in the region of £20 million for their star midfielder.
