Can played a major role during Liverpool’s 4-3 win over Borussia Dortmund in a memorable quarter final clash in the Europa League.
The 22-year-old provided the assist for Liverpool’s opener when he played though a perfectly weighted pass to Derek Origi.
According to the Liverpool Echo, Can left Anfield last night on crutches and will have a scan today to find out the extent of the injury. Can was taken off late in the second half after suffering a calf injury. The Germany international was replaced by Lucas.
The Germany international received a rating of 8.3 for his performance on the night from WhoScored. Can man also made 72 passes and maintained a passing accuracy of 83%.
Can is ruled out for Liverpool’s clash with Bournemouth this weekend in the Premier League due to a suspended.
