Liverpool fans react to Emre Can injury on social media

Liverpool star Emre Can found out today that he will miss the next 4-6 weeks after rupturing his ankle ligaments in the 4-3 win over Borussia Dortmund in the Europa League quarter-final second-leg tie at Anfield.

Can has been one of the Reds best performers this season and as expected Liverpool fans were not best pleased about the situation especially considering they will now be without him as well as captain Jordan Henderson in midfield.

We took to social media to find out what fans made of the news.

Klopp did however, give a glimmer of hope. Can could return in time for the Europa League final – should Liverpool make it past Villarreal – as he could recover within four weeks.
