Emre Can made his return after a month out injured yesterday during the 3-0 victory over Derby County in the League Cup.
Can replaced captain Jordan Henderson in the second half, getting some minutes on the clock in preparation for the Premier League clash against Hull City on the weekend.
We took a look at how Reds fans reacted to Can’s display on social media.
The general mood among the fans was being glad to have Can back but also admitting that he did not put on an impressive display.

Can’s passing was criticised and he did look like he needs a bit of time to get back into the general rhythm of things.
Anyone with the passing stats of Emre Can against Derby last night? I thought he was poor and gave away the possession too often #LFC

Can’s display did not appear to go down well at all with most fans as far most Liverpool fans were concerned.
Jurgen Klopp feels Emre Can needs match rhythm, while he hailed Marko Grujic following his first start for Liverpool.

His passing was not up to his usual best and it did not go unnoticed among the Redmen.
Emre Can couldnt get it together tonight. Needs to get up to speed. Poor timing of pass, poor decisions, bad first touch.

Just about every tweet commenting on his display revolved around his passing and general poor display. Considering he has been out for a month with injury he was bound to be a little rusty.
As much as I hate to say it, Emre Can has looked poor this evening.

The barometer of success is how it compares with Can’s hair. Even after a poor performance the Germany international of Turkish origin can always count on his hair.
@JamesPearceEcho Would you say the evening is as glorious as Emre Can's hair, James? ☺
