Liverpool Find Buyer For Forward But Turkish Giants Only Willing To Bid As High As £5.3m, Talks Held

Besiktas have stepped up interest in Liverpool forward Divock Origi.

Turkish-Football recently reported that the Super Lig side made an enquiry for the Belgium striker.

Black Eagles club President Fikret Orman held talks with Origi’s representatives in London last month.

It turns out that the Istanbul based outfit are now willing to make a formal offer for the 23-year-old.

A Spor report that Besiktas are prepared to offer £5.3m [€6m] for the forward who spent last season out on loan at Wolfsburg.

Per the source, the Black Eagles are aware Liverpool are prepared to sell Origi.

The Belgium international has 12 months remaining on his contract but has yet to be offered a new deal.

The Istanbul based outfit are willing to wait until the end of the transfer window as they are of the view Liverpool will sell if their offer is not trumped.

The report claims that talks have already taken place between Besiktas and Origi’s agent.

ESPN recently reported that Origi will get the chance to fight for his place in the team over the per-season.

Danny Ings wants to leave Anfield and Daniel Sturridge could be headed for an exit giving Origi and Dominic Solanke the chance to claim a place in the pecking order.

Even if Origi manages to keep a place in the team over the pre-season he is unlikely to challenge the established first-team forwards for a spot.
