Liverpool wonderkid Rhian Brewster is currently recovering from an ankle injury.
The Reds sustained ligament damage to his right ankle during the youth side clash against with Manchester City in the New Year.
The rising star required surgery that has ruled him out for the rest of the season.
Liverpool U23 side boss Neil Critchley revealed that the youngster is in high spirits despite the injury and delivered an update on where he is at with his rehabilitation.
Brewster should be back in time for the 2018-19 season.

“He was unfortunate to get the injury. There’s never a good time to get an injury,” the U23s boss explained to Liverpoolfc.com.
“It was just after Christmas and our first game against Manchester City, and it was an unfortunate incident. You look around the first team at the moment and I’m sure Rhian might have been one of those players who would have been around the squad.
“But injuries are part and parcel of football. He is in good spirits. Rhian is always in good spirits! You can’t knock that boy down.
“He knows he’s got a few months to go of rehabilitation. He has got a fighting spirit about him and he will come back better, stronger and fitter.
“He’s got to use this time off the pitch to benefit himself physically, which he will do. He will hopefully come back for pre-season ready to hit the ground running.”
The young forward was born in London and represents England at Under-17 level but a little-known fact about the young forward is that he is eligible to play for Turkey.
A source close to the player has revealed to Turkish-Football that the Reds wonder-kid has a Turkish mother and would be able to play for the Crescent-Stars at senior level.
Liverpool booked a place in the Champions League semi-finals on Tuesday after knocking Manchester City out 5-1 on aggregate.
