Liverpool given boost as Euro giants unwilling to make January bid for star man
Serie A giants Juventus are keen on the Liverpool midfielder and having seen a bid for him rejected in the summer, were expected to come back in for him in January.
Can has under 12 months remaining on his contract and has yet to sign a new deal.
Juventus are prepared to wait until the end of the season to try and sign Can as they are not keen on paying a high fee for the midfielder in January reports Calciomercato.
The Reds reportedly want £15 million for Can in January although they could still reach a new contract agreement beforehand.

For the time being it seems as if the midfielder of Turkish origin will be staying at Anfield – until the end of the season at least.
The 23-year-old is returning from an impressing display over the international break for Germany scoring his first goal for the national team in the 5-1 win over Azerbaijan.
Can appears undecided over his future. Speaking earlier this week he said he was focused on Liverpool but did not entirely rule out the possibility of a transfer.
Can was quoted by ESPN as saying: “It’s always an honour to receive an offer from such a renowned club, but currently I am only focused on the season with Liverpool.
“My agent takes care of the rest. The Premier League is the most interesting in the world, but you must always respect other big clubs and leagues.
“You never know what will happen. And I don’t know what Jurgen Klopp plans.”
