Liverpool have struck a deal with Trabzonspor to sign 19-year-old attacking midfielder Abdulkadir Omur on a £17.3m [€20m] move next summer according to Turkish outflet Ajanspor.

Per the source, Omur will join the Reds over the summer but the deal will not be announced until the end of the season in order not to upset Trabzonspor fans.

The rising star has been closely linked with Liverpool over the transfer window and did himself state that he would join the Premier League club if the two sides were to agree terms.

Earlier this month, Omur was asked about his links with Liverpool. ”Liverpool is a very important club,” Omur said.

“Of course, these offers are something that our club can talk about first. I want to achieve some success here. Without success here I do not have to go to Europe.

“My priority is Trabzonspor but I have a dream to play in Europe, I hope I play there one day. My dream is to succeed here and then go to Europe.”

Turkish-Football have asked Trabzonspor to respond to the latest rumours but have yet to receive a response.

The Turkey international established himself as a first-choice player for Trabzonspor last season despite being aged just 18 at the time.

Omur has five assists and two goals in 20 appearances for the Black Sea based side this term.
