Liverpool hope to fend off Juventus move for contract rebel with new deal
Liverpool are edging closer to striking a new deal a new deal with their star midfielder Emre Can.
According to the Daily Mail, Can is ready to pen-to-paper on a new deal with Liverpool when he returns from an extended break.
The 23-year-old is on leave after representing Germany in the Confederations Cup earlier this summer.
Can has been enjoying his time off in Turkey and was spotted at SaltBae’s steakhouse in Bodrum, Turkey on Saturday.
Liverpool are keen to keep hold of the versatile midfielder amid interest from Juventus. Can played a major role in Liverpool’s successful season which saw them finish in the top four.
The Germany international currently has under 12 months remaining on his contract with Liverpool.
Can recently dropped a hint on social media that he will be returning to Liverpool once his break is over.
The former Bayer Leverkusen man shared a photo of himself and included the following caption, “Getting energy for the upcoming season.”
