Liverpool in transfer talks with Turkish giants over sale of 23-year-old striker

Galatasaray have begun negotiations with Liverpool for their out-of-favour forward Divock Origi.

Last week we reported that the Istanbul giants were interested in signing the Belgium international.

According to the Turkish outlet Fotospor, Galatasaray are already in talks with the Merseyside based club.

Per the source, Galatasaray are trying to keep costs as low as possible due to UEFA Financial Fair Play restrictions.

The report goes on to state that Galatasaray initially wanted to sign Origi until 2020 however, Liverpool turn down the offer. The Lions are now interested in signing Origi on a six-month loan deal for free.

The Istanbul giants will be able to offer the Belgium international regular football and potentially UEFA Champions League experience.

The Belgium international spent last season out on loan with Bundesliga side Wolfsburg where he scored six goals in 31 appearances.
