Liverpool have joined the race for Trabzonspor goalkeeper Ugurcan Cakir according to this agent Engin Kirkpinar.

Kirkpinar revealed that Liverpool are among up to four English sides monitoring Cakir.

The agent also underlined that Trabzonspor are not prepared to sell Cakir for under €20m.

“Liverpool are one of four English sides keeping close tabs on Ugurcan,” Kirkpinar was quoted as saying by Turkish-Football.

“Liverpool are among the sides interested in Cakir and have been monitoring his progress.

“Trabzonspor value Cakir as being worth a minimum €20m and will not sell him in January.

“An end of season move could however, be on the cards.”

The 23-year-old keeper has been in great form for Trabzonspor this term and was recently called up for the national team Euro 2020 Group H clash against Andorra where he kept a clean sheet.

Turkey conceded just three goals in 10 qualifier games keeping seven clean sheets in a group that featured world champions France and Iceland.

Cakir rose through the youth ranks at Trabzonspor before establishing himself at 1461 Trabzon – Trabzonspor’s satellite club.

The young keeper was promoted to the senior side last November and has managed his place as first-choice shot-stopper in goal.

Cakir has another five-years remaining on his current Trabzonspor contract.
