Besiktas made light work of Antalyaspor on Sunday beating the Mediterranean based side 6-2 on the road in the Super Lig.

Liverpool loanee Loris Karius started in goal for the Black Eagles as he has done every game this season – that he’s been match fit for.

Karius made two key saves for Besiktas over the course of the 90 minutes but did concede twice on the day.

The fact that the Black Eagles put six past Antalyaspor worked in Karius’ favor as he did not exactly do a stellar job in goal.

The second goal was conceded via a corner kick. An area of his game Karius has struggled with since making his move to Turkey.

Karius is bound to face a tougher test next week when Besiktas take on rivals Bursaspor next on Saturday 9 February at the Vodafone Park stadium, Karius is almost certain to start in goal.

The German keeper has conceded 29 goals in 21 appearances for the Istanbul giants in all competitions this term, keeping four clean sheets in the league.

The Black-Whites head into the clash in 3rd place in the league, 11 points behind leaders Basaksehir.
