Liverpool legend Gerrard questions future of France international at Man United, Super Lig giants plot
Manchester United winger Anthony Martial has been linked with a summer exit this window.
The 21-year-old scored just seven times in 42 appearances for the Red Devils in all competitions last season, making just 19 starts in the Premier League.
Martial did not feature for United in the UEFA Super Cup defeat to Real Madrid on Tuesday.
The France international’s future is in doubt according to Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard.

Speaking on on BT Sport, Gerrard said: “I’m not sure these players we’re talking about in the wide areas, the likes of Lingard and Martial.
“I’m not sure they’ve hit those heights yet to be really described as a Man Utd player.
“I think it’s big season for them. I think if those individuals don’t find consistency over the next 12 months, I don’t think they’ll be at Manchester United very long.”
Martial does have another two-years on his contract but could end up struggling to establish himself as a first-choice player over the 2017-18 campaign.
Turkish champions Besiktas are interested in signing Martial on loan.
Turkish newspaper Milliyet report that Jose Mourinho has given the 23-year-old the green light to leave as long as first team football can be guaranteed.
Martial is also reported to be on the radar of Inter Milan.
Jose Mourinho reportedly still sees Martial in his plans for next season but Calcio Mercato claim he is ready to join Inter.
