Liverpool Loanee Loris Karius’ Breakfast Sparks Interest In Turkish Media

Liverpool loanee Loris Karius has sparked intrigue in the Turkish media every since completing his temporary move to Besiktas.

First they named him ‘Casanova’ after the surge in interest from Besiktas’ female fans.

Karius’ choice of breakfast caught the attention of the media today.

The 25-year-old tucked into a traditional Turkish breakfast dish called ‘menemen’.

Menemen is sort of like scrambled eggs with tomatoes, peppers, herbs, spices and various other ingredients depending on the chef and the region.

Karius also had ‘kaymak’ which is a dairy product similar to clotted cream with honey.

We were most impressed with his cultural immersion attempts but the Turkish media were left fascinated.

Just about every major newspaper covered the story from the Hurriyet to the Takvim to NTV.

Karius starred in his first European competition game since the Champions League final on Thursday.
