Besiktas manager Senol Gunes has selected his squad for the Europa League trip against Swedish outfit Malmo on Thursday.

Liverpool loanee Loris Karius has been picked and will be almost certain to start as Tolga Zengin will not make the journey due to injury.

Karius has started every game for the Black Eagles since completing his move to the Istanbul giants making five appearances, keeping one clean sheet and conceding just four goals.

The 25-year-old will play his second European competition game since the Champions League final against Real Madrid.

Karius starred in the 3-1 victory over Sarpsborg a fortnight ago that took Besiktas top of Group I.

Besiktas will also be without Adriano who is injured.

Gunes has no other major injury concerns heading into Match Day 2.

Besiktas finished last season as Champions League group leaders but were eventually knocked out in the second round against Bayern Munich.

The Black-Whites are currently ranked 19th in the UEFA club coefficient table.
