Liverpool Loanee Loris Karius Set To Play First European Competition Game Since Champions League Final – Besiktas Probable Lineups

Besiktas kick-off their Europa League group stage campaign against Sarpsborg tonight at the Vodafone Park Stadium.

Liverpool loanee Loris Karius will make his Europa League debut for the Black Eagles in what will be his first European competition game since the Champions League final against Real Madrid.

Karius had a game to forget against Real making two costly errors leading to the 3-1 defeat.

The keeper has established himself as first-choice keeper for Besiktas since joining on a temporary move and is almost certain to start today.

The Istanbul based outfit will be without Alvaro Negredo who had his contract terminated despite being first-choice striker.

In the absence of the Spaniard Cyle Larin is likely to get the nod but will be competing for a place with Mustafa Pektemek and Vagner Love.

Alternatively Ryan Babel could also start upfront but is more than likely to start on the wing.

There is unlikely to be any changes to the defensive lineup with Pepe and Vida as centre-backs, Gokhan Gonul and Caner Erkin as full-backs with Medel sitting in front of them in defensive midfield.
