Liverpool & Man United Suffer Blow In Race For £35.5m Brazil International After Euro Giants Strike Deal

Manchester United and Liverpool have been closely linked with a move for Benfica attacking midfielder Anderson Talisca in the Portuguese media.

United boss Jose Mourinho reportedly placed a ‘reserve’ on Talisca and is willing to shell out £35.5m (€40m) according to A Bola.

O Jogo meanwhile claimed that Liverpool have rekindled interest in the Brazil international.

Reports in the Turkish press now claim the Reds are scouting the 23-year-old.

Per the source, Besiktas have the option to sign the powerful midfielder on a €21 million move before the end of the season.

Talisca is into his second season on loan at Besiktas and the reigning Super Lig champions have a clause in the contract giving them a cut-price buyout option.

Should Besiktas not exercise their option to sign Talisca on a permanent deal, Roma have an agreement in place to take him of Benfica’s hands.
