Liverpool midfielder Emre Can has stated that he will come back stronger from the injury which has disrupted the start to his Liverpool career.
Can joined Liverpool for £10m from Bayer Leverkusen in the summer however, has missed the last six weeks with an ankle problem picked up while on international duty with Germany’s Under-21s.
The 20-year-old has made just two substitute appearances under Brendan Rodgers for Liverpool this season.
Speaking to Liverpool’s official website Can said, “I’ve worked a lot on my fitness after the injury and I’m doing fine.
“I had a couple of problems in pre-season after I joined the club. Then I had two good games for Germany and I picked up the injury.
“I’ll get fit again and I’ll be stronger but that’s all part and parcel of football. I will definitely fight for the club and try to make sure we win every game, as will my teammates. I’ll give 100 per cent.”
Can scored four goals and made five assists in 39 appearances for Bayer Leverkusen last season.
