Liverpool news: Philippe Coutinho issues injury update & poses alongside wonder-goal scorer

Liverpool playmaker Philippe Coutinho has issued an injury update following his side’s win over Watford FC.

The Brazil international was forced off with an injury after just 13 minutes and was replaced by Adam Lallana who himself only just returned from injury.

Coutinho took to social media to share a photo of himself alongside Emre Can and stated that the injury is not serious. “Thanks to all for the support. It isn’t serious”

Coutinho missed over a month of football earlier in the season due to an injury. Liverpool fans will be glad to hear the Brazil international won’t be sidelined for an extended spell.

The 24-year-old has eight assists and 11 goals in 33 apperances for the Reds this season.

Liverpool moved three points clear of fourth placed Manchester City following last month’s victory.

However, City do have a game in hand over Liverpool. The Merseyside based club take on Southampton this weekend.
