Liverpool Offer £15m Forward To Turkish Giants Despite Reports That Jurgen Klopp Wants Him To Stay

Liverpool have offered Daniel Sturridge to Besiktas according to the Fanatik sports newspaper.

The article is titled, ‘Let’s give Sturridge to you’.

Per the source, Jurgen Klopp wants to get rid of the striker to free up his wage bill. The England striker makes £120,000 per-week.

Besiktas have reportedly been told the can hold talks with Sturridge over a loan move next season.

Previous reports have claimed that the Reds would prefer to sell the 28-year-old.

The Times reported that Liverpool value Sturridge as being worth £15m.

The latest report is odd considering Jurgen Klopp only just came out and publically backed the striker, hinting he could have a role in the team next season.

It is even more intriguing that Fanatik claim the source of the story is from the English media.

Sturridge has just 12 months left on his contract but Klopp spoke highly of him in the latest Guardian report.

“We’re not in doubt – and nobody was ever in doubt – about his quality,” Klopp said.In this moment he looks really good to be honest. That’s cool – really cool for him and cool for us.

“[It’s] a very important moment for him. I am in talks with him, what he feels. I don’t want to make him the most physically strong player in the squad or whatever. The most physically strong player in the squad cannot play football like Daniel Sturridge and he has no possibility to be that, to be the marathon man of the team, but he can be a very decisive player.”

Sturridge scored just three goals for the Reds last season and spent the second half of the campaign on loan from West Brom.
