Liverpool plot move for £50m Leicester City star as replacement for outbound Emre Can

Despite the January transfer window closing only 13 days ago, the transfer rumour mill appears to be getting back into full swing.

According to the Nigerian outlet New Telegraph, Liverpool are lining up a move for Leicester City midfielder Wilfred Ndidi.

Per the source, Klopp has identified the star midfielder as a potential replacement for Emre Can.

The report goes onto state that Ndidi is valued at £50 million by Leicester.

Can has entered the final four months of his contract with Liverpool and could end up leaving the Merseyside based club for free over the summer.

Ndidi has been in impressive form for Leicester City since joining back in 2016 as a replacement for N’Golo Kante.

Liverpool have already signed Naby Keita from RB Leipzig. The Guinea international will join Jurgen Klopp’s squad this summer.

The Reds are back in action this week when they take on FC Porto in the UEFA Champions League.
