Liverpool Receive Boost As Brazil International Target’s Agent Denies Holding Talks With Roma

Brazil international Anderson Talisca has been closely linked with a move to Liverpool in the Portuguese and Turkish media.

The Reds are not the only side reported to be interested in a summer move for the Benfica star on loan at Besiktas.

A Bola recently claimed Manchester United want Talisca and are prepared to offer £35.5m (€40m).

The latest reports from Turkey meanwhile, claim that Roma have a deal in place with Benfica over the 23-year-old.

It turns out that Roma do not actually have an agreement with Benfica, in fact his agent Carlos Leite said he has not even held talks with Giaolorossi sporting director Monchi.

“I can’t say anything about Talisca right now,” Carlos Leite told LaRoma24.it.

“No, I haven’t talked to Monchi about him.”

Monchi meanwhile confirmed interest but also denied making an offer for the 1.91m attacking midfielder.

Besiktas could still end up keeping Talisca as they have a €21 million buyout option that remains active until the end of the season.

The Brazilian has become a star name with the Black Eagles and played a key role in lifting the league title last season.

Talisca has 16 goals and four assists in all competitions for the Istanbul giants who are still involved in the title race.

The star man finished the Champions League campaign as the joint top scorer for his side, netting four goals.
